How Much Is In A Serving? // Fruit

Hey there!

This week #FoodBaby will be focusing on fruit, one of the 5 main groups of food recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines. One of the most delicious ways to stay healthy is to eat fruit- and they can satisfy both sweet and sour cravings in a healthier way than candy! Fruits are high in fibre and water, making you feel fuller (reducing chances of overeating). Fruits are also abundant in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals (Vitamin C and Vitamin E).1

The infographic we created below visually shows how much of each fruit equals a serving, to help you better plan your meals and count if you’ve had enough of the daily recommendations. Fruits are generally categorised as a serving if it is 150g in weight. Pregnant women are advised to eat 2 servings of fruit daily.

This infographic is great! Such a useful resource, now I know how many servings of fruit I consume a day which allows me better to consume the recommended 2 servings of fruit per day 🙂
